Director of Finance

Al has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, primarily as the Controller or Finance Director within manufacturing organizations. His expertise spans financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow analysis, supply chain management, and mergers and acquisitions. He is well versed in U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.

West Coast Director

Bhawin has more than 25 years of IT experience spanning semiconductors, software development, healthcare, non-profit work, hospitality, construction, and managed services. He has managed teams to implement strategic solutions to improve the user experience, reduce costs, and simplify support. He has a BS in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco and an AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Heald College. Bhawin also holds a PMI Certificate in Project and Program Management from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Partner, East Coast Director

Gazi has over 25 years of experience in IT and financial services. Before joining HalcyonFT in 2010, he spent two years as the Head of North America IT at Louis Capital Markets, and eight years as the IT Manager for Putnam Lovell NBF, a global investment bank. He has also worked in various IT departments at Merrill Lynch, including global email messaging, retail trade support, and institutional trade floor support. Mr. Ali earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Partner, Director of Systems

Hugo’s career in financial services spans over a decade, and he has more than 25 years of IT experience specializing in systems gap analysis, cybersecurity, and business continuity strategy. He draws on his subject matter expertise to provide customized IT solutions to meet each client’s needs. He routinely exceeds regulatory requirements by implementing multi-layered cybersecurity strategies, enhanced disaster recovery, and innovating office technology.

Midwest Director

Jeffrey joined HalcyonFT in 2024, bringing more than 20 years of experience at Wells Fargo, where he was an IT leader with expertise in risk management, IT compliance, and security governance. Based in Minneapolis, he is committed to ensuring that HalcyonFT clients throughout the Midwest receive the same exceptional service as our clients in the East Coast and West Coast regions. Jeffrey studied Strategic Communications at St. Cloud State University and also attended Normandale Community College.

Partner, Director of Projects

Joe has more than 23 years of IT experience, primarily in project management for large-scale infrastructure and cloud solutions. He excels in strategic planning, team leadership, and budget management. He consistently delivers projects on time and within budget, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed clients’ expectations. Joe has expertise in ISO and SOC 2 compliance and is well versed in NIST, SEC, and FINRA regulations. He also holds a project management certificate from the Project Management Institute.

UK Director

Mo has more than 20 years of experience in IT support and consultant roles, primarily in the financial services sector. He previously founded and served as the Managing Partner of Topology MS, a UK-based managed services company delivering bespoke solutions and outstanding client service. Since 2023, Mo Wahid has been directing HalcyonFT’s London office and guiding the firm’s European expansion. He holds a diploma from Kingston University in London.

Director of People & Culture

Steffany has more than 13 years of experience in people operations and HR within IT, government contracting, and retail operations. Her expertise spans talent acquisition, retention, corporate culture, employee engagement, operations, labor law compliance, and process improvement. Steffany holds a BS from Kentucky Wesleyan College and an MBA from Murray State University. She also has SPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute and SHRM-CP certification from the Society of Human Resource Management.

Managing Partner

Recognized as one of InfoWorld’s top 25 CTOs, Rodric has over 30 years of IT experience within the financial services and technology sectors. Before founding HalcyonFT in 2010, he served as the CTO of Blum Capital Partners, an investment management firm with approximately $3 billion of assets under management. He was also the CTO at Putnam Lovell NBF, a global investment bank. Rodric earned a BS (Joint Honors) in Computer Science and Accounting from the University of Manchester.
